XROS Vaporesso is a new pod mod release that Vaporesso say will bring you an "unparalleled customizable experience"… It consists of two main components the main device and the pod (or tank). The main device has an 800mAh internal battery and is rechargeable in around 45 mins at 1A via the USB Type C port. On the side of the device is the airflow control which slides to increase or decrease the incoming air. You have two options to fire the device – either auto (fires when you inhale) or push the fire button manually. An LED indicator is provided which should illuminate when vaping and hopefully will indicate the battery capacity remaining.However, there is no mention of this on the Vaporesso web site. Controlling the device is the AXON chip which is used in a lot of Vaporesso mods and the maximum output is 20W. I am not sure if this is adjustable in any way by the user, or the device selects the power according to the coil resistance of the pod. The pod part is refillable but the coil is fixed. Therefore when the coil is not performing well you will need to replace the whole pod. Apparently, you can refill this one-handed – something I would like to see on more pod devices – by removing the mouthpiece and exposing the fill port. There are 2 pod options to choose from 0.8ohm and 1.2ohm. Both coils have a mesh heating element.

The fill hole on the pod does a great job of being both simple and reliable. It holds 2 ml of liquid, and is split into two sections, with the coil on the back half below the mouthpiece and the open space between serving as a chimney. The mouthpiece on the Orion DNA go isn’t replaceable, but it has a big enough diameter to allow for good airflow, and is paired with a simple airflow control system around the base. It’s a slot-style airflow, with an outer, ridged ring that rotates so you can close off or open up the two small slots to suit your preferences.

The design of the Orion strikes a perfect balance between looks, functionality and ease of use. You’ll be right at home with it whether this is your first vape kit or your 50th.

Around the side of this straight section is the fill hole, which is covered by a rubber flap that you can move off to the side when you’re refilling the pod.
